PIN Login System

The PIN system allows quick cashier switching at the POS.

How PIN Login Works

1. Staff member enters their 4-digit PIN
2. System verifies the PIN
3. Staff is logged in and ready to sell

Setting Up PIN

When creating a staff member:

1. Choose PIN or Both as invitation method
2. Enter a 4-digit PIN
3. Share the PIN securely with the staff member

Resetting PIN

1. Go to Staff
2. Click Edit on the staff member
3. Click Reset PIN
4. Share the new PIN with them

Quick Switch Mode

On shared POS terminals:

1. Current cashier logs out
2. New cashier enters their PIN
3. Instantly switches to their session

Security Tips

• Don't share PINs between staff
• Change PINs if compromised
• Use unique PINs (avoid 1234, 0000)
• Deactivate staff who leave
